Frequently asked questions

How do I cancel my subscription?

We don't process the billing — Apple and Google do. Cancel through your device:

  • iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Restorae → Cancel.
  • Android: Play Store → menu → Subscriptions → Restorae → Cancel.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep Premium access until then. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — you have to do both if that is what you want.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Refunds for Play Store purchases are at play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory. Tell us if either store pushes back; we won't object on our side.

I paid on iPhone — will Premium work on my Android?

Yes. Sign in on the other device and tap Restore Purchase on the paywall or in Settings → Subscription. Cross-platform entitlement is reconciled via RevenueCat.

Can I export my data?

Yes, as CSV. In-app: Settings → Data & Privacy → Export Data.

Is my journal private?

Your check-in notes, journal entries, journal prompts, program-day reflections, and companion direct messages are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and visible only to you. We never sell or share your content, and we never use it to train any machine-learning model. Full details in the Privacy Policy.

Can I switch between Field and Simple mode?

Yes — Settings → Preferences → Check-in mode. The switch is instant; your history is preserved.

What can my companion see?

Only your most recent quadrant on the feeling map (rendered as a color), the timestamp of your last check-in, and a count of consecutive rough days. They never see your check-in word, your notes, your journal, your map, or your reflections. You can pause, remove, block, or report a companion at any time, and you can have up to three companions.

Is Restorae a mental-health app?

No. Restorae is a lifestyle app for emotional self-awareness. It is not a medical device, not therapy, not a crisis service, and it does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or manage any condition.
