Delete your account

You can delete your Restorae account and every piece of data attached to it at any time. The fastest path is in the app; the email path below exists for Google Play's requirement that users be able to request deletion without signing in.

In the app (fastest — immediate)

  1. Open Restorae and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete Account.
  3. Confirm the prompt. Your account is soft-deleted immediately.

You have a 7-day grace period during which you can sign in to cancel the deletion. After 7 days, the encryption keys associated with your account are destroyed, and your data is no longer recoverable from our active systems. Backups containing the deleted data age out within 30 days of that.

By email (no login)

If you've lost access to your account, send an email to privacy@restorae.app from the email address tied to your Restorae account with the subject "Delete my account". Include:

  • The email address on the account.
  • (Optional) the approximate sign-up date, so we can match your account quickly.
  • (Optional) which sign-in provider you used (email + password, Apple, Google), so we can verify the right account.

We verify the request by replying to the sending address — so it must match the account on file. We complete deletion within 30 days of verification and email you when it is done.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile (email, display name, profile photo).
  • Every check-in (note, quadrant, position, timestamp).
  • Every journal entry, journal prompt, and journal draft.
  • Every program enrollment and program-day written reflection.
  • Every monthly, quarterly, and yearly reflection.
  • Every direct message you have sent or received through a companion link.
  • Your companion links and any nudges associated with them.
  • Your device registrations and push tokens.
  • Your subscription history on our side (Apple and Google retain their own copy).
  • Telemetry events we received from your device.

What does not delete from our side: crash traces are diagnostic-only, not linked to your user account in our systems; they age out of Firebase within 90 days regardless. Apple and Google also keep their own records of your store purchase history; you can request deletion directly with them under their own privacy policies. Append-only audit-log rows that record your account's lifecycle events (registration, deletion request, deletion completion) are retained for compliance purposes; these contain account identifiers and timestamps, never your content.

Cancel an active subscription first

Deleting your account does not cancel an active paid subscription — Apple and Google control billing, not us. Cancel through the store before or after deleting:

  • iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Restorae → Cancel.
  • Android: Play Store → menu → Subscriptions → Restorae → Cancel.
